The pastor will be preaching a series of sermons during Lent that accent the Cross.  A major portion of each Gospel dwells upon the events of the Cross and the Resurrection.  The first Sunday of Lent is March 13.  The final Sunday of Lent is Palm Sunday, April 17.  Easter is the last Sunday of April.
