Following the Morning Worship of December 9, we will go caroling, caroling in the neighborhood around WGBC.  We’ll do a light lunch before we sing the songs of Christmas.  Contact Donald Johnson concerning details.  Yes, Deacon Donald can sing  😉

We begin the final Sunday of Advent with a Christmas Brunch.  It occurs during the 9:30 a.m. hour. on December 23.

Bring in your favorite “brunchy” dishes and we will eat and fellowship and enjoy the knowledge that God is with us in the Christ of Bethlehem.

Our Sanctuary Choir under the leadership of Christine Bunch will sing the cantata BORN A SAVIOR, BORN A KING on the Sunday morning of December 23.

Laura Unterweger, our church pianist, ably supports the choir.

Jesus was indeed born a Savior, born a King!

The Christmas Eve Communion begins at 6:00 p.m.  As the prophets promised, the Christ, the Son of God has finally arrived.

He is born in humble surrounding but is destined to be the Savior of the world.  We pause before Him; We rejoice in Christ, the new born King.

• Pray for the Burton Family – David and Nancy and the family in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, working with Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF).   There is much unrest in the Congo, with the M23 rebels trying to take down the government.
• Pray for MAF missionaries and their safety, and the people who are being displaced by the threat of war.
• Brenda Lesenby is our CBF Missionary in China; continue to pray for her in her work in China.    Continue to give to our Global Mission Offering, our goal is $1,000.00.
