In April, the WGBC collected diapers for the St. Louis Diaper Bank.
We will be collecting diapers for the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank for the remainder of the month. Diapers will be delivered on October 1, 2016.
Lee Ruppel, St. Louis Campus Ministry, visits with church members after service on Sept. 11.
Lee Ruppel of St. Louis Campus Ministry visited with members of the WGBC family last Sunday after service to discuss how the church and the organization might work together to minister to the needs of Webster University students and their community.
Some suggestions included prayer walks, small group Bible studies or prayer meetings, and the possibility of an eventual monthly service.
Rev. Nina Ramsingh Hamilton will serve as pastoral intern for WGBC.
Rev. Nina Ramsingh Hamilton joined the WGBC family on Sunday, Sept. 4, as pastoral intern.
Rev. Hamilton is a native of Miami Springs, FL, and graduated from Florida International University with an undergraduate degree in social work and women’s studies and a master’s of public administration.
Currently in her second year at Eden Theological Seminary, Rev. Hamilton is working towards a Master of Divinity degree.
Ordained in 2007, Rev. Hamilton currently serves as church administrator and associate minister at Leonard Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Steven G. Thompson.
In addition to serving within several ministries departments at Leonard, Rev. Hamilton began her own ministry, The Victory’s Crown Ministries International, in 2011.
Rev. Hamilton has two sons and one grandson. She is also fluent in Spanish and French.
We will be collecting school supplies for the next few Sundays for Webster Rock Hill Ministries to distribute to area children.
Please bring any donations and put them in the gym.
About 70 community members met at Webster Groves Baptist Church for Webster Rock Hill Ministries Radio’s Community Forum on July 23, to discuss racial issues and to seek and promote positive response to recent events.
Dr. Terrell Carter greeted the assembly and then opened the meeting. Ellie Wharton then led the meeting which included small group discussions and a group panel which was moderated by radio talk show host Kenny Murdock.
