Twenty-two folks gathered to enjoy ice cream, the film How to Train your Dragon II and one another’s company on July 18, at 8 p.m.

Thanks to everyone who made the evening possible.  Jean and Pepe Knue for providing and serving ice cream and pop corn, Dan Bembower for setting up the projector and sound, Howard Trump for spreading the word and helping with cleanup, and Darryl Leroy, Anna Bembower, Mark and Becky Davidson, Barbara Jones, Aerin and Keillyn Johnson for helping with clean up.

School Supplies Drive

We are collecting school supplies (until July 26) for the Webster Rock Hill Ministries.  Webster-Rock Hill Ministries distributes backpacks filled with school supplies for children of client families.

The shopping wish list includes: narrow-rule filler paper, rulers, 2-inch and 3-inch ring binders, broad tipped highlighters, scientific calculators, glue sticks, pocket folders, pens, pocket dictionaries, wide-rule filler paper, spiral notebooks, 24-count crayons, colored pencils, colored markers, pencil, pouches, Fiskars scissors, hand sanitizer, and Payless shoe certificates.

Outdoor movie night and ice cream social July 18

movienightAll are invited to join us in fellowship and family fun as we gather July 18, at 8 p.m. to watch the animated feature How to Train Your Dragon II and enjoy refreshments (ice cream, etc…) and each other’s company.

Showtime will be as soon as there is enough dark, and all activities should be over by 10 p.m.

Christian Activity Center asks for votes for video; new playground

The Christian Activity Center serves one of five communities that will win $20,000 to build a new playground. To be chosen, The center must earn enough votes for its video, and people may vote at http://bit.ly/1ehhQKI.

Viewers can vote once daily on Facebook through June 26, 2015, at 11:59 p.m.
