Funeral arrangements for Sarah Woody announced

Long-time member of the WGBC family, Sarah Woody passed into Our Father’s arms last week.

Her funeral will be Thursday, March 19, at 1 p.m. at Gerber chapel on Lockwood Avenue in Webster Grove.  This celebration of her life life will be followed by her burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

There will be no visitation, but we will have a dinner to remember Sarah on Wednesday, March 25, at 5:30 p.m.

No notice will be published in the St. Louis papers.

Slideshow: Winter Banquet

About 50 persons joined the fun of Winter Banquet on March 14.  The theme was “Lights of Broadway,” and members of our church family performed songs and sketches from a variety of Broadway shows.

Rev. Andy Thomas emceed the event, which was organized by Jean Knue and featured the hard work and performing talents of Kathy Bruce, Laura Unterweger, Carolyn Kuykendall,  Pepi Knue, Rick Clevlen, Pat Clark, Ken Clark, Christine Bunch, Aerin Johnson, Barbara Jones, Keillyn Johnson, Mieisha James, Deshonda Burgess, Darrel Leroy, and Heather Arno.
