Goodbye but not Farewell

Dear WGBC Family,

It was September 1, 2013 when I preached my first sermon to the congregation about hospitality, humility and honor. On that Sunday I would have never imagined that on November 10, 2013, I would be called to serve as the interim pastor of Webster Groves Baptist Church (WGBC).

It is now a year later and I have enjoyed our journey together. It has been a good season. I have come to love you as a congregation and we had lots of food, fun, and fellowship.

The writer of Ecclesiastes writes that “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven “…Ecclesiastes 3:1

Season for everything

My family and I are grateful for the season that God gave us to serve each of you. Please know that you will always be in our hearts and prayers. We consider each of you to be our friends.

It is in that spirit of our friendship that I have created a new email account friendsofwgbc@gmail.com  this will replace the pastorjerminewgb@gmail.com account.

If you desire to connect and check in on me and the family you can reach us this way. You can also see what’s going on in the lives of the Alberty family by following us on our Facebook pages. Once again it has been a pleasure serving you. I look forward to seeing you the next couple of Sundays.

In His Service,

Jermine D. Alberty

Group collects personal items for Ferguson residents

doveCynthia Holmes of CBF Heartland has shared information with Wyndy McRoy about The Praying with Our Feet Group’s efforts to provide items unavailable to Ferguson residents due to the violence which has caused may of the local stores to close.
The group is asking different faiths for different items.  Baptists have been asked for toilet paper, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner.  The items are being gathered and distributed by several North County churches.  Hopefully, these gifts will help show that Christians throughout the area care and restore a sense of community.
For more information, see prayingwithourfeet.org.

If you are interested in contributing the requested items, please bring them to church, and Wyndy will get them to the organization.
