At the end of this morning’s service, Dr. Carter shared with the congregation that his last Sunday with WGBC would be Sept. 8. He will be returning to Third Baptist to take on administrative duties in the wake of its pastor’s resignation.

Justin B. Anderson gave the message this morning with a lesson about the storms that occur in our life and the reminder that Jesus is always there to lift us from the waters and to bring peace to those storms.
Rev. Adam Banks visited WGBC Aug. 11, and shared the message.
Adam Banks spoke this morning about the importance of “last words” focusing on Paul’s last words in 2nd Timothy.
Rev. Banks currently serves as Minister to Youth at Third Baptist Church. He graduated from Washington University and will attend Princeton Theological Seminary this fall.
The Pastor Search Committee met Aug. 11 and elected Bob Bruce as chairperson and Christine Bunch as secretary. The committee intends to meet Aug. 18, to begin the search process.
