The Missions Committee (under the leadership of Russell Cawthon) is collecting used shoes during the month of June. These shoes become drinking water for Kenya and Haiti. Exporters buy the shoes and resell them to people in South America, Haiti, India and other places where people do not have shoes and cannot afford new shoes. People buy these shoes for pennies on the dollar. The funds generated by collecting shoes are used to purchase water drilling rigs and water purification systems.
So, clean out your closet of those shoes that you no longer wear. Give your shoes so that people in Kenya and Haiti might have clean drinking water.
