Diaper Awareness Week is Sept. 24-30

Five 1820 youth members along with adults Anna Bembower and Wyndy McRoy volunteered to help at the St. Louis Diaper Pantry on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2017.
Did you know that moms who don’t have enough diapers to keep their kiddos clean and dry are THREE TIMES more likely to experience depression and anxiety than moms who do?
Webster Groves Baptist Church and other organizations are collecting diapers and monetary donations for the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank Sept. 8-23, because we believe that all babies deserve dry diapers.
If you wish to donate diapers, size 5, size 6 and pull-ups are always needed.
Kiddos whose families can’t afford diapers miss out on a lot of the snuggles and cuddles required for their healthy social & emotional development. This year, the @stldiaperbank will provide 1.5M diapers to ensure that 35,000 little ones are clean and happy and much more fun to be around.
For more information, contact Wyndy.

Women’s book study to begin in October
Anna Bembower will lead a six-week woman’s Bible study based on the book “5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit” by Nicki Koziarz, which is based on a study of the book of Ruth.
Every woman will eventually face it: the temptation to give in and give up, but something transformative happens when a woman decides to persevere in the face of difficulty and pain. A woman who refuses to quit influences her world in ways she could never have imagined.
Unfolding over six sessions, Nicki Koziarz walks women through the Book of Ruth, focusing on the Moabite woman’s five practical habits that kept her eyes on God: Ruth accepted the assignment of refinement, followed through on her commitments despite her feelings, remained open to the movement of God, gave others what she needed, and moved forward in faith.
Weekly sessions will begin Oct. 7, at 9:45 a.m.
