Two of WGBC’s intrepid child reporters conducted interviews to learn what Bible verses were people’s favorites.
Twenty-two persons gathered for trivia, fellowship, food and fun on Friday, March 14, (Pie Day).
Ken Clark organized and emceed the festivities, which included eighty questions over American history (provided by Jean Knue), Missouri and Civil War history (provided by Jack Reams), St. Louis sports heroes (provided by Joe McRoy), Old Testament (provided by Howard Trump), cultural pairings (provided by Sam Davidson), literature (provided by Aerin Johnson), movie quotes (provided by Donald Johnson), and brand names (provided by Carolyn Kuykendall).
The high score was 53, which was earned by the table with Mark, Becky, Sam and Kim Davidson, and Joe McRoy.
Join us for fellowship and fun, on March 14 at 6:30 p.m. for Trivia Night.
There is no fee or prizes, just getting together to enjoy one another’s company and answering questions created by our own church family.
The categories are Movie Quotes (submitted by Donald Johnson), Literature (submitted by Aerin Johnson), American History (submitted by Jean Knue), Missouri History or Civil War (submitted by Jack Reams), Old Testament (submitted by Howard Trump), Sports (submitted by Joe and/or Darren McRoy), To be decided (submitted by Sam Davidson), and New Testament (submitted by Jerimiah Alberty).
It’ll be fun, with food and fellowship——and educational as well.
Participants are invited (but not required) to bring snackish type foods and drinks to share.

Dear WGBC Family,
We have decided to cancel services tomorrow due to warnings of inclement weather. The weather services seems pretty sure that this will happen and we want to ensure your safety above all else. On tomorrow I would encourage you take some time alone or with your family and read Matthew 17:1-9. After you read this text have a discussion of what it means to you. This texts speaks of the transfiguration of our Lord and is a precursor for the crucifixion. Jesus finds himself having a mountain top experience in preparation for a valley of despair. Contemplate on this week the times where God has been with you at the high and low points of your life. Give God praise and thanksgiving.
